You ever have a movie hit you square in the eyes and it sort of leaves you staring at the screen for a moment before hitting play again? Well that's what Southland Tales has done. I'm embarrassed to say how many times I've watched this since yesterday. ivorygates can attest to how much I was blown away by this damn movie last night. :D It's from the writer/director of Donnie Darko, stars... too many people to freaking name. And they all surprised the hell out of me because they're roles that are so different from what I'm used to seeing them in and I so fucking approve.

So... Now it's share time. This is the trailer for Southland Tales and under the cut is the first ten minutes of the movie for you to check out.

More Farscape is cool.

This is freaking awesome! I believe the first issue of War Torn was the very first items in my Farscape collectibles. And it's the only thing I'd ever cared about getting an autograph on (until this past year when I got Ben's autograph a second time when SylvreWolfe gave me a post card for Mount Mitchell, North Carolina). I've heard more than a few people, comic book collectors, sneer their noses at the artwork and story. I've always agreed that the story could have been done better, but I've always loved the artwork in them. The Nebari one was cool as hell and the outfit they had on Chiana... yowza. :D

So I'm happy to see this coming out and I'm really loving the fact that there's been several Farscape items being put on the market. That's one thing that I could never figure out why a company like Henson not be putting out buku amounts of swag for fans to buy. The demand for the stuff is definitely here since Scapers buy the heck out of anything resembling Farscape.

Happy Saturday! Today has actually been a bit on the quiet side since the loud ones are gone to a birthday party. Thank god since I've only had three hours sleeping due to reading more ivorygates fic. (woman needs a warning label)

Looking over at Karlsweb's art gallery I stumbled across one of the first pieces of Farscape fanart I'd found when I was first really getting into the show. The artist Sean is amazing as you can see and you all should really check out the rest of his artwork, along with the other kickass artists over there.

Legendary troubadour Bob Dylan now has a Pulitzer to add to his Oscar and Grammys.

Dylan, the most acclaimed and influential songwriter of the past half century, who more than anyone brought rock from the streets to the lecture hall, received an honorary Pulitzer Prize on Monday, cited for his "profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power."

I may have not liked playing with Ken and Barbie when I was a kid, but that doesn't mean I can't make up for it now with our boys. :D

iTunes and Quicktime did an update when I restarted my computer and one of the things it installed was the Safari browser. I've been fiddling around with it while watching the BSG marathon on Skiffy (taking a break from housework).

I'm one of those that are slow to change when it comes to things like this because I've learned to wait for the 'next version', but since I know that Safari has been around a bit I figured I go ahead with the install and I really like the look of it. Particularly the way the default font looks since it's really easy to read (big plus for me).

I figured I'd leave it on for about a week to check things out a bit more. Anyone have any particular opinion on it or warning about this browser?

This afternoon after a very bad start to the day (i woke up with a migraine) I found one of the hottest stories by gigerisgod. Which is really saying something considering just how damn good this woman is in setting up very plausible, very sexy scenarios. I am constantly (and consistently) amazed at how her writing continues to improve and grow and I am completely jealous.
